Back to School!

We all want our children to grow up to be well educated, but many kids find school frustrating and confusing. There are a lot of ways for parents to help children through their learning and development - and making it more fun too!

Let's play a game:
Take the chore out of homework by turning it into a game. Just about any task can be fun and exciting. By setting goals at the end of each exercise, you can give prizes such as: marbles, playing cards or stickers. For every correct answer your child gives, you can reward him or her with a sticker or such like. You can even set goals by drawing up a chart displaying the number of stickers earned at each homework session.

Learning on the go:
Little do they know it, but children are improving their learning skills every day by doing simple things like go shopping! You can give them exercises such as;

• Counting apples into the bag
• Reading the food packaging
• Adding up the prices of 2 or more grocery items
• Comparing the weights of objects...and so on.
